One of my pet hates, and a major one at that, is people who inconsiderately park their cars over Disabled access ramps.
The picture above demonstrates a particularly bad example as it was in the middle of Llandudno at the busiest time of day and caused problems for numerous people. The taxi was parked, with the [...]

How Impressive is Google?

I had been told before how good Google’s Search Engine was, but this week I saw for myself what a useful tool it can be. I had had a problem with the entry phone to my flat and needed the wires puting back in place. Unfortunately, the engineer who came to fix it had no [...]
Consider the Less Able at Christmas.

One of the things I dislike about this time of year is the way the town centre becomes full of people rushing about, seemingly oblivious to everyone else around them.
It is a particular nightmare if you are disabled or elderly trying to get from A to B. And as for getting around in shops, well [...]

In today’s edition of The daily Post, on page Six, I have an article about an embarrassing incident which happened to me yesterday. It was also on Tudno FM’s news programme.
If you cannot get the paper in your area, I have included the whole article below.
“A RESTAURANT’S only toilet for disabled people is located [...]
Bleak Christmas in prospect for Woolies Staff!

I was very saddened to hear the news that Woolworths Stores across the country are to close after Christmas. What awful news for the hundreds of staff who face a New Year without employment. My thoughts and sympathies go out to them.
Isn’t it really sad to see such an iconic part of our past disappearing [...]

Well, it’s that time of year again. A time when children get excited waiting for Santa to arrive, the streets are decked out with a dazzling array of Christmas lights, and I can’t get through the crowds of fanatical shoppers on Llandudno high street!
It’s not that I’m Scrooge, but I really dislike the crowds [...]
Recycling at Asda

I went to the recycling point at Asda to drop off a box full of plastic bottles and containers that I have been keeping to recycle, because the council do not collect plastic from my home.
I think the council should look in to organising the collection of plastic materials at the same time as they [...]
Take That New Album Review

I got to listen to Take That’s new Album today, and i was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Gary Barlow has moved forward with his style of writing, sounding a little like Snow patrol on some of the tracks. Interestingly, Mark Owen seems to be more evident as lead on many tracks, but [...]
Visit to Police Helicopter Base

This morning i was invited to visit the North Wales Police Helicopter Base at Rhuddlan.
I went along with my Mum, Dad and Sister Faye, and was looking forward to Seeing the Helicopter up close. I was there, in part, in connection with the voluntary work I have been doing for the police in the area.
We [...]
