Visit to Police Helicopter Base

This morning i was invited to visit the North Wales Police Helicopter Base at Rhuddlan.

I went along with my Mum, Dad and Sister Faye, and was looking forward to Seeing the Helicopter up close. I was there, in part, in connection with the voluntary work I have been doing for the police in the area.

We were met at the gate by Constable Clive Davies, who accompanied us on the tour of the facility. we were introduced to Constable Dafydd Evans, one of the Pilots, who took us through to the hanger were we got our first close up look at the Helicopter.

Constable Evans gave us a very interesting and informative talk on the day to day operation of the police helicopter and some of the remarkable equipment that it has on board.

I was then interviewed for the police website about my work for disability awareness. I’ll post more on that when I get the link to the page and video.

Anyway, I was so impressed I wrote to thank them straight away. If you ever get the opportunity to visit, you will be amazed and thoroughly entertained.
