Black Cat Garage Closed

A POPULAR petrol station closed for four months this week due to a major refurbishment.

Road users saw the Shell petrol station, located at the Black Cat roundabout at Glan Conwy Corner, close its pumps, forecourt shop and cash machine on Monday in order to carry out a major refurbishment, which according to project management company Artelia will take until November.

The station will undergo a complete overhaul including demolition of all buildings and structures, and the removal of underground fuel tanks, and then the construction of a new sales building, forecourt canopy and fuel dispensers.

Cllr Graham Rees said: “I welcome the improvements to the garage, which will improve the service on the forecourt, which at times is extremely busy. The petrol station is also very handy for the Premier Inn close by and those exiting the A55 will miss the garage,” he said.
